According to recent research, nearly 68% of the EU population lives in urban areas and consume about 70% of the total energy. Besides increased the fast urbanization process, the European Commission estimates that in 2050 over 70% of the EU population live in cities.
Given this scenario, urban areas are facing serious problems such as pollution, traffic congestion, inefficient use of resources and waste management. Therefore, a new approach is needed to address the negative impact of urbanization and provide sustainable development. Making our cities smarter and improve the benefits to both the governments and residents of the city by reducing environmental impact and improving their lives is a challenge we have to fight.
The area Marwen Ingenieria Smart Cities, is designed to help local authorities to grow their cities and become more efficient sustainably. The main objective of our service is to optimize the management of municipal services ulilizando advanced ICT tools (information and communications technology), reduce costs and improve the quality of life of citizens.
Our overall strategy is associated in all key areas of operation of the city and is aimed primarily SMART service in energy efficiency, urban mobility, environment, infrastructure management, public buildings, security, governance and citizenship.
